Most Laval Homeowners Never Think About Their Dryer Vent Until Something Goes Wrong. Our Service : NADCA-Certified Dryer Vent Cleaning in Laval Removes Every Inch of Dangerous Lint Buildup Before It Becomes a House Fire, a Climbing Energy Bill, or a Dryer That Simply Stops Working Mid-Season
BlueGuard provides professional dryer vent cleaning across Laval from $199. We offer bilingual service in English and French. Most Laval jobs take 30 to 45 minutes.
A clogged dryer vent is one of the leading causes of residential fires in Canada. In Laval's older housing stock — particularly in Chomedey, Vimont, and Auteuil — dryer vents installed decades ago are often blocked with compacted lint that can only be removed with professional equipment.
Laval's older bungalows in Chomedey and Vimont — many built in the 1960s and 70s — frequently have original dryer vent installations that have never been serviced. When we clean these older Laval vents, we often find lint buildup so severe that the dryer was operating at dangerously high temperatures.
Most duct cleaning companies in Laval are not NADCA certified. BlueGuard is. NADCA certification means every job follows strict source-removal standards — all debris is physically removed from your system, not just loosened and left behind.
This isn't a membership you pay for. It's earned through rigorous technical training, proper examinations, and a genuine commitment to doing the job right — every single visit, no exceptions.

TLDR: Hired BlueGuard to clean the clogged exit vent. They did not clean it properly. The exit vent is still completely clogged, unusable and would only refund me 50% ($170!). Context: My dryer has been showing "Airway blocked" errors. I own a vent cleaning kit, but I can't reach the exit mesh because the vent terminates on the roof. That roof exit was the main reason I contacted this company. I was quoted for a full dryer vent cleaning, from the dryer all the way to the roof exit, including testing the vent afterward for $299+tax. Techs came to my home, argued with me on where my vent exit is. I explained to him that I hired a contractor to redirect the dryer vent to the roof instead of where the soffit is due to freezing in winter. He didn't believe me, he said that it was not on the roof, he went in my attic and told me there are no vent pipes going to the roof. I had to climb in the attic myself to show him where it is. He then said he could clean both ends from the attic, never went on the roof, cleaned from the attic, took payment, and left. The dryer is still showing the same "Airway blocked" error. Now that I know that I could access the roof exit through the attic, I put a snake camera up the vent line from the attic, and the roof exit mesh is still completely covered in lint. A photo is attached. The small amount of light visible is only there because I scraped some of the lint away with my fingers. The quoted work, cleaning the full line to the roof exit and testing the vent, was not completed. The way they "tested" is turned on the dryer for like a few minutes and called it "tested". The dryer complains about airways being blocked after running for like 30 mins. Explained everything to them and they would only give me 50% refund. Saying that they can have their tech call me and tell me what they did. I'm not sure how that would change the fact that I'm left the problem with the same exact state before they even started. Net result: I paid about $170 and still have the same problem I reached out for.

We're sorry the dryer is still showing an error, but some important facts are missing from this review. Our technician checked the attic because he needed to confirm where the vent actually exits before cleaning it. That was never meant as an argument; it was part of doing the job correctly. The line was cleaned, and we have before and after photos of the work. When you contacted us about the error, we offered to send a technician back at no charge to check the roof exit and confirm whether any lint was still there. You refused that visit and told us not to come back. We still gave you a 50% refund without being able to inspect the vent again. Our offer to return and check the exit still stands, and you can call us directly or email us at sales@blueguard.ca
They were very nice, worked fast, and were communicative throughout the process. I had them come clean the air ducts, the ventilation fans and sanitize the furnace in preparation for winter, they did a good job and all together I found their prices to be very reasonable.

At least once a year. Older Laval homes in Chomedey and Vimont that have never had professional dryer vent cleaning should be serviced immediately. Signs you need it now: dryer taking more than one cycle, burning smell, dryer very hot, or exterior flap not opening.
